Welcome to our news and archives.  Please note that all test results are posted for the current year, but may not appear in the archives.  Full records are kept at our main office.  In addition, photographs and news releases prior to 1997 are kept in our school library at our main location dating back to the 1960s.

Join our Virtual Demo

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION EXTEND: Submit by Sunday at Midnight.

Grandmaster Crandall and I are putting together a Virtual Martial Arts Demo and will be posting it to our website and Facebook. We will also be contacting the local news agencies so that the community will know that it is available.

What is the Virtual Demo?

While we are restricted from gathering together as a group, we can each perform part of a demo from our own homes. We will be editing together all of our student's submissions along with some historical demo footage. This will be our virtual demo, which we will share with the community, friends, and family.

Who can join our demo?

Any of registered students, all ages and ranks, including instructors may join. All styles are welcome, empty hand, cane, and iaido.

What do I need to do if I want to participate?

Film yourself, in uniform, looking presentable. Be aware of what may be in the background of your filming, to protect your privacy.

What you can demonstrate (indoors or outdoors):

Your highest kata,

Weapons' kata

Yourself doing some basic forms, kicks, punches, ippon kumites, or hanzas

One video per student, no longer than 2 minutes. Start by doing chumbi, waiting 2 seconds, performing your skill, holding the last move for 2 seconds, and then going back into chumbi.

If you have more than one family member training with us, you can also do the following:

Self-defense

Ippon kumites

Comealongs

Takedowns (be careful, you likely don't have a mat)

You can do up to 2-3 of these techniques in your video, which should be kept short so we can feature as many students as possible.

Do I need to participate?

No. This voluntary and meant to be fun. Also, the video will be posted online, so if you are uncomfortable with this you should not participate.

How do I submit my video?

Attach your short video file to an email to contact@amai-eaglestyle.com

OR, if your file is too large to send by email,

https://wetransfer.com/ is a FREE file transfer service up to 2 GB. You will still use contact@amai-eaglestyle.com to send us your files, which we will download. Once we download them, you may delete it from wetransfer and re-use that account in the future if you wish.

Still having trouble? Email us.

When is my video due?

We are editing together the demo this Monday with the hopes of premiering it on Wednesday Therefore, we need to receive all videos by Midnight, Sunday, April 5.

If you are in cane or iaido, we are looking to have a separate demo featuring your submissions and you have until Wednesday, April 8th.

Will I be in the video?

We are going to make an effort to include as many students as possible; however, we cannot guarantee all videos submitted will be used. It will depend on time constraints and editing considerations

We look forward to seeing your video submissions! Keep training, and let's come together for some fun online!
