Book Signing at Barnes &Noble

A book signings featuring Grandmaster Crandall and Master Crandall's “Reflections of a Grandmaster” was held at Barnes and Noble, Consumer Square, New Hartford, on Saturday, March 23, from 1 to 4 p.m.

“Reflections of a Grandmaster” is a series of 20 short stories that have impacted Grandmaster Crandall’s life and given him a “perspective that many people would find entertaining and interesting,” Grandmaster Crandall said.

Despite a Spring snowsnow, it was a continuous line of people looking to meet Grandmaster Crandall and Master Crandall. Throughout the day they handed out collectors cards, chatted with community members, told stories, and signed books.

Barnes and Nobel has invited them back for another day, which may occur later this Spring. A date is yet to be announced, and the next book signing will be at Keaton and Lloyd Bookshop, 236 W. Dominick St., Rome, on Saturday, April 13, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Grandmaster Crandall and Master Crandall signed books throughout the afternoon, but they were assisted by Headmaster Eric Stalloch, Master Gisella Stalloch, and Sensei Sabrina Crandall for set up, picture taking, and more.
