The American Martial Arts Institute is under the direction of its founder, Grandmaster Clifford Crandall, Jr., 10th Degree Black Belt.  This traditional martial arts school teaches three distinct styles: American Eagle Style (empty hand), Takenouchi-Hangan-Ryu-Matsuno-Crandall Iaido/Batto-do (300 year old samurai sword style), and American Eagle Cane Style (traditional cane).

Each style is fully documented in its own textbook with supplementary books and DVDs to assist the instructors and students in maintaining the high standard of quality and consistency in these Arts.

All classes are taught by our staff of certified, adult black belt instructors.  We also offer additional programs such as Superkick (for 3-5 year olds) and the Open System (a non-ranking martial arts class).  Classes are offered in a professional, 6400 square foot facility for an educational environment with three full classrooms, viewing areas, changing rooms, conference rooms, training equipment, and more.

Our main location is overseen by Grandmaster Crandall's certified successor, Headmaster Eric Stalloch, 9th Degree Black Belt.
