Staff Training and Black Belt Luncheon

On Saturday,September 24, instructors and staff for the American Martial Arts Institute traveled from across New York State and New Hampshire to meet at the main location in New Hartford, New York for a staff meeting and training session led by Grandmaster Crandall. In order to teach American Eagle Style, you must have earned the rank of 1st Dan or higher, be 18 years of age or older, and complete an annual certification process. Part of the certification requirements involve participating in staff meetings where school events and programs are discussed for the coming months. Black Belt Test Results

On Friday, September 9, 2016 three candidates tested for 1st Degree, Junior Rank Black Belt, and on Saturday, September 10, 2016, six candidates tested for Adult Rank Black Belt before a panel of judges led by Grandmaster Crandall. The judging panel was comprised of the five Master Instructors, the titled instructors and additional fifth and sixth degree instructors. The Junior Rank Black Belt testing lasted just over 4 hours, and adult rank testing lasted over 6 hours. The candidates demonstrated a wealth of knowledge and skills. The American Martial Arts Institute is proud to announce that Grandmaster Crandall awarded Dr. Peter Hotvedt with Staff member status, presenting him with a black top after the Brown Belt Testing on September 9.
