BOOK READING AT HALF PINT ACADEMY

On March 23, 2017, the Half-Pint Academy child care center on Route 5 in Clinton, NY hosted the author of the Tiger Lily and Julia adventure series. Amanda Crandall, a 5th degree black belt at the American Martial Arts Institute, read the second book in her series to 22 boys and girls. Grandmaster Clifford Crandall Jr. assisted her as he described and displayed the illustrations in the book while it was narrated. The children's excitement grew as the heroine of the story, Tiger Lily, successfully completed another adventure. This promotion of reading and literature was made possible by the cooperation of the Half-Pint Academy and the American Martial Arts Institute. At the end of the reading each child was given their own copy of this second book in the adventure series, titled "Center Kick for Confidence."
