FEEDING OUR VETERANS: Helping our community’s modern-day samurai

Black Belt Testing Results

A black belt testing was held at the American Martial Arts Institute on Saturday, November 22nd, with two individuals demonstrating the skills and techniques required to achieve the ranks of 1st Degree and 3rd Degree Black Belt. This testing was run and overseen by Grandmaster Crandall with assistance from the Master Instructors. All candidates completed their written exams one week in advance of the physical testing in order to qualify to participate in the physical testing.

THIS CALENDAR IS FOR OUR CURRENT STUDENTS

This Calendar shows special events such as Testings and seminars. It shows if a class is cancelled or rescheduled due to a holiday, snow-day, or special event. It does NOT show the class schedule. The class schedule is posted below this calendar. The purpose of the calendar is to let you know if there are CHANGES to the regular class schedule. If you have a question, please speak with an instructor.

Class Schedules

CHILDREN'S CLASSES

MONDAY 6 to 7 p.m.

TUESDAY 6 to 7 p.m.

WEDNESDAY 6 to 7 p.m.

THURSDAY 6 to 7 p.m.

CLASS DETAILS:

Ages 6-12 may attend Tuesday & Thursday OR Monday & Wednesday (2 classes weekly). Additionally, yellow belts may attend all adult classes (with instructor's permission).

ADULT CLASSES

MONDAY 7:15 to 8:15 p.m.

TUESDAY 7:15 to 8:15 p.m.

WEDNESDAY 7:15 to 8:15 p.m.

THURSDAY 7:15 to 8:15 p.m.

CLASS DETAILS:

Ages 13+ may attend unlimited adult classes.

SUPERKICK CLASS

Note: 5 year olds may currently register for our Children's Classes

CLASS DETAILS

This class is for 3-5 year olds and runs in seasonal sessions (fall, winter, and spring). Pre-registration is required and class size is limited.

AMERICAN EAGLE CANE STYLE

MONDAY 7 to 8 pm.

THURSDAY 7 to 8 pm.

CLASS DETAILS:

For 18 years of age and older. Separate registration required.

IAIDO

WEDNESDAY 6:30 TO 7:30 p.m.

The 2nd Wednesday of every month.

FRIDAY 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The 4th Friday of: October, November, January, February, March, and April.

OPEN SYSTEM

Same as adult class schedule

PROGRAM DETAILS:

For ages 40 and older who wish to train in American Eagle Style without earning rank. Classes run concurrently with American Eagle Style adult classes.

STYLES AND CLASSES

EMPTY-HAND

Improve balance and flexibility. Reduce stress. We have traditional empty hand martial arts classes for ages 5-12, teenagers, and adults. Classes include stretching, punches, kicks, basic forms, katas, self-defense, sparring, bagwork, and more.
