Staff Meeting and Sparring Session!

One of our school's strengths is its numerous certified, adult black belt instructors. Traditional martial arts has a lot to offer, and for some this can involve teaching. Teaching is truly a skill. With that in mind, instructors in our school do not train in class with the other students. Instead, they have separate workouts with one another led by Grandmaster Crandall. In addition, instructors must be re-certified to teach each year.

On Saturday, we held a staff meeting with more than 28 of our school's instructors, which included 1 1/2 hours of sparring practice. It was a great workout, enjoyable, and always good for camaraderie. At the staff meeting we discussed the upcoming school tournament in October, and clarified teaching skills regarding the 10 fundamental self defense techniques.
