American Martial Arts Institute

This is an exciting time in the growth of our school. The past year has seen the the addition of new programs such as the Open System (for non-ranking American Eagle Style training), new style classes such as the American Cane System, the publication of two new books by instructors in our school (Mr. Morris releasing a book for Takenouchi-Hangan-Ryu-Matsuno-Crandall Iaido and Mrs. Freleigh releasing a book for the Superkick program, both with Grandmaster Crandall), a cover story in Action Martial Arts Magazine (featuring Grandmaster Crandall), and much more. Later this year will see the release of two new DVDs including American Eagle Style Self-Defense, Volume 1 by Dr. Chuff and Grandmaster Crandall. We will also be making another major announcement in the growth of our school in the next few weeks.

This growth has strengthened our school and provided its students and instructors with many new opportunities. Now the American Martial Arts Institute is pleased to offer a new way for its students to purchase their training supplies, through an online store.

Previously students ordered their equipment from their location and waited for it to arrive at the school. Now, in conjunction with Century Martial Arts Supplies, you can order online and have your equipment shipped directly to your home. This means no more waiting for orders to arrive at the school.

Some other benefits of this new feature:

You can create wishlists for friends and family members who want to purchase gifts for birthdays, holidays, and special events.
You will not need to pay sales tax. Current laws regarding Internet purchases state that orders shipping from out-of-state do not incur sales tax. When you order at the school's location, we are REQUIRED to charge sales tax.
We will be able to offer sales, special packages, and events that were not previously possible at our locations.
You will be able to order from the convience of your own home and browse the online catalog at any time.
Your user profile will be saved for future purchases. The Century site is secure and they will not sell your information to other vendors.
You will be able to order larger training items such as kicking bags. Transporting these items from the school may have been a challenge, but now they will come directly to you.
Your order is delivered directly to your door.
You will still be able to order school textbooks and other products at the school's locations.

Instructors will be happy to answer any of your questions regarding placing orders. Please remember that you should speak with your instructor before ordering items such as sparring gear or extension tools (weapons).

White belts are not allowed to spar in our school; therefore, they will not need to buy sparring gear until they have earned their first colored belt. Check with your instructor for current sparring gear regulations. They will help you determine the best style and sizes for you.

Also, our school offers weapons classes. Please speak with your instructor about what types of these tools are permitted. There are different lengths, weights, and styles of weapons available. Instructors will be happy to help you determine what is best for you.
