The object was that from the last day of school to the first day of September, students are to read ten books or more. For students 9 years or younger, these books had to have at least 25 pages. Students 10 years and older, all books must have had at least 100 pages. Students 9 and under can be assisted in their reading by parents and family members. Form sheets that showed the students name: Rank: Class: Location: Age: Title of Book: Author: Number of Pages: Copyright: Wether they liked the book or not: and at least three sentences explaining what the book was about: had to be filled out and turned in by September 8, 2001.

Congratulations to all those who successfully completed the American Martial Arts Institute's "Let's Get A Kick Out of Reading" summer program. As a reward each received a red and blue hat with Martial Artists Read and the American Eagle Style logo with AMAI on the front of the hat. A picture will be added to this page in the future.
