Junior Rank Demonstration Team Day
July 24, 2001

This is a day set aside each summer for the members of the demonstration team of the American Martial Arts Institute School. The students get to perform a martial arts demonstration in the morning and one in the afternoon. The day starts at 9:00 a.m. and goes until 5:00 p.m., although some students who do not have so far to drive also stay to participate in the evening classes at the Utica location. Lunch is provided by the school and eaten at the Utica location after the morning's demonstrations. This year a demonstration was done at the Remsen school at 10:00 a.m. for their summer program and then another done at the Ilion summer parks program outdoors at 11:00 a.m.. In the afternoon there was an exciting performance at the Utica Zoo with food and a walk through the Zoo afterwards. Then back to the training hall at Utica.

This year the demonstration team members in attendance were assisted by four black belt instructors. Top row left to right: Mr. Donley, Mr. E. Stalloch, (center)Grand Master Crandall, Mr. Cumings and Mrs. Merren. Front row left to right: Susan Turner, Nicole Stanulevich, Dan Boak and Ian Ramsey.

It was a fun day and also a day of learning and sharing knowledge with audiences and each other.
