TRADITIONAL CANE

American Eagle Cane Style
Grand-Master-Cane.png

The American Eagle Cane Style is a traditional martial art style for men and women of all ages that uses a walking cane as a tool for personal safety, self-development, and personal fulfillment. The style is under the direction of Headmaster Eric Stalloch, 10th Dan, and was founded by Grandmaster Clifford C. Crandall, Jr., Headmaster Eric Stalloch, and Master Lynn Jessee.

The cane has been a tool for personal development and self-defense for hundreds of years and it is well documented in styles from Japan, Korea, China, England, Egypt, the Philippines, and others. The American Eagle Cane Style includes 8 colored belt levels and degrees of black belt. One if its core aspects is katas, including Basic Cane Kata, Reflections 1-5, Autumn Wind, Natural Walk, Valley, Briar Patch, Old Man with a Cane, and others.

It also includes the areas of philosophy, self-defense, "sparring" (through a drill-format training exercise), basic forms, breaking, and more. It is a well-rounded and balanced style, allowing adults a truly fulfilling training process. More about the style will be posted here in the future.
