In addition to regularly scheduled classes, the American Martial Arts Institute holds a variety of special classes and events. These may vary from location to location, so be sure to check with your instructor if you have any questions. Also, it is always a good idea to call the school if you have any questions about class or event schedules.
Funshop
Monday, February 20th through Wednesday February 22nd.
Ages 6-12. Registration required. See your instructor.
Colored Belt Testing
Tuesday, February 28th, at the New Harford Location starting at 6:30 p.m.
Regular Classes are Cancelled.
Instructor's Class
Wednesday, March 17th starting at 7:30 p.m.
The first class will be held, but the second adult class is cancelled.
Brown Belt Testing
Friday, March 30th starting at 6:30 p.m.
Regular Classes will still be held. The written exam will begin at 6:30 p.m.. in the conference room. The physical exam will begin at 7:30 p.m. following regular classes.
Black Belt Testing
Saturday, March 31st starting at 9:00 a.m.
Regular Classes and Superkick will still be held. The written exam will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the conference room.
Staff Meeting and Semi-Annual Ceremonial Black Belt Luncheon
Saturday, April 21st
Regular Classes and Superkick are CANCELLED. The staff meeting will be held at the main location starting at 9:00 a.m.
The Ceremonial Black Belt Luncheon will be held at the Harts Hill Inn starting at 12:00 noon. All black belts may register. All brown belts who are 18 years of age or older may register. Forms are available at both locations.
Weapon's Competition
Saturday, May 5th starting at 9:00 a.m.
Regular Classes and Superkick will be CANCELLED. Registration forms are now available. Weapon's classes are now scheduled and being updated regularly. See your instructor if you have any questions.
